Press release 2/23/2015 1:00 PM CET

Skanska Property Czech Republic has leased all the retail units at Riverview. In addition to the anchor tenant, global pharmaceutical company MSD, the building will be occupied by Sodexo, SWN and Window Holding with VEKRA brand.

Riverview is located on the Vltava riverbank in the evolving business district of Prague 5 – Smíchov. The project is easily reachable by foot from the Anděl metro station and the Na Knížecí bus and tram stop. A wide range of amenities is situated nearby, while its proximity to the riverbank adds many possibilities of spending time near the river with stunning views.

Riverview's leasable office area, covering nearly 90 percent of the building, has been leased to the leading global pharmaceutical company MSD, which will house its IT Innovation hub. The building's retail space on the ground floor is divided into three units and will be occupied by SWN, Sodexo and VEKRA brand.

Both SWN and VEKRA brand will use the retail space as showrooms. SWN manufactures stairs, while VEKRA brand produces windows and doors. Their showrooms will complement each other. Sodexo will transform the third unit into a restaurant, providing its gastronomic services not only to Riverview tenants, but also to the surrounding neighborhood.

“Achieving 100 percent occupancy at completion shows there is increasing interest in the Smíchov district as well as in sustainable and high-quality projects that employ innovative construction solutions and materials.” says Marie Passburg, Managing Director of Skanska Property Czech Republic.

The seven-story building was completed in December 2014 and sold to Invesco Real Estate in October 2014. Riverview aims to secure at least LEED Gold certification. It offers approximately 7,000 sqm of leasable space. The building's green solutions will increase work comfort and minimize operating costs by reducing both water and energy consumption. The complex was designed by the renowned Swedish architecture studio Tengbom. Skanska a. s. was the general contractor.
