Sponsoring and CSR

In the area of sponsorship and social responsibility we proceed in compliance with our Swedish head office. We have been focusing on longterm projects that address the area of safety, education, environment and charity.

Skanska is a member of the Business Leaders Forum, an organization that promotes the principles of a socially responsible business and also a member of the Donors Forum.

We have been cooperating with the Good Will Committee of the Olga Havel Foundation and the Konto Bariéry Charity Project.
We also support the Emil Benefit Project – games of handicapped talents.

Skanska have also been a long-time partner of the Dark Café initiative – part of the Firefly Project, which assists visually impaired children and adults.

An important part of our strategy is also the support we provide to a number of cultural projects. For example, we have an ongoing partnership with the Czech National Museum. Skanska has also been a partner of many important cultural events.

We also began supporting various library events (for example, A Night with Andersen) as well as brand new projects (Skanska Municipal Library of the Year, MARK Award, etc.).

We do not perceive the Corporate Social Responsibility only as a fashionable term in an annual report but rather as a set of activities that we consider necessary.
